It is one of the oldest sacred representations of the Province of Cuneo. Unlike the other, that of Garessio precedes the procession of Good Friday, “Mortorio” real, a play on the Deposition of Jesus from the Cross, which also sing the paraphrase of the Miserere and sextuplets of the “Angels of mysteries. ” The great charm of Mortorio has remained intact over time, especially in the procession known as “dell’interro”, which includes works by the characters of the play, and then brothers, pipers, drummers, soldiers on horseback, and which winds the evening of Good Friday through the streets of the Borgo Antico of Garessio lit by torches.
