ANCIENT BOVINE FAIR DI SAN DESIDERIO

The 2023 edition of the San Desiderio Cattle Fair – on 23 July – will be the 192nd since, back in 1831, King Carlo Alberto granted with a diploma still preserved in the municipal archives the possibility for the Monastero breeders to hold a cattle show at the parish church of San Desiderio.

On Sunday afternoon, the shady wood near the aforementioned parish church will host the cattle exhibition and the traditional attractions of the show, from the threshing of wheat to the exhibitors of typical local products and, in the evening, dinner with a big barbecue at the San Desiderio farmhouse.

From 2 p.m. cattle exhibition, conference, historical threshing. From 8 pm, typical dinner.
